Misplaced your Bag?

Have any of you unfortunately have had your bag misplaced or stolen? Unfortunately I have experienced this awful experience. I was walking down a Manhattan street one day and I thug-like man runs up and snatches my purse. He was never caught because he ran through the alleys and was never caught. It took me a while to recover from everything that was in the purse.

I don't care about what's in my purse as much - I can get it back. But I put a lot of love into my bag-babies. Sigh.

My mum had her open-topped bag sitting unwatched last summer, and her wallet was snatched out from it. That was HORRIFYING.

If I were purse snatched like that, well no I can't even go there ... that must be horrible for ANYONE.

Fortunately, I haven't experience having my handbag misplaced or stolen. I know hearing stories about people purse being snatch has me more cautious about what I store in my purse. I don't really keep my birth certificate, S.S card, or my checkbook in my purse. Also, I keep a mini wallet that I can fit in my pocket. I am especially cautious when I go on vacation.

I had a friend that had a handbag taken from her by force. She was picking up some lunch on her lunch break and got in her car talking on the cell phone. She didn't lock her doors and the guy just came over to the passenger side of car and took her handbag. My friend had just made a withdrawal from the bank so she had about $750.00 dollars in her purse. I guess the guy dumped the purse and spent the cash because her purse was later recovered from a dumpster. Unfortunately, the guy was never caught because it's hard to catch guys that commit these types of crime.

omg! $750 i never keep that much cash in my bag.. sorry to here about it :(

That's crazy... I would be devastated if I had $750.00 stolen from me. That's awful.
